Straws and contact paper Art
Contact paper is always great fun as you can stick and unstick things as many times as you want. To begin I cut the center out of a piece of foam and then stuck it onto a piece of contact paper. This helps keep the contact paper flat and also frames the art. I cut numerous straws in various of lengths. You then simply stick the straws onto the contact paper.

open end art. bottle lids & paint
Every once in a while we break away from the more structured crafts and have fun creating open end art. I put out various supplies that can be used to create with. This time we used bottle lids in various sizes, glue, pieces of cardboard and different colours of paint. It is a great way to experiment with various art supplies, explore different textures and encourage creativity.
