Apple counting craft

Supplies needed:
construction paper (green, brown and one other colour of choice for the background)
glue stick
red sticker dots (bought mine at the dollar store-comes in a package of  a variety of colours)

Out of contruction paper cut out tree trunks and leafy tree parts in various shapes and sizes. Build the trees by gluing the leafy parts to the tree trunks. Next add the red sticker dots for the apples.

Simple counting activities: *count how many apples are on each tree
                                              * which tree has more apples
Variation: you can use more than one colour of apples using the same simple counting activities by counting how many apples there are of each colour and which colour of apples are there more of.

summer travels

I really loved everything about this summer. It was more relaxing then not even when it was really busy. We even did some travelling. We drove up into the mountains. Beautiful views and fresh mountain air.
We toured caves, saw butterflies and explored at natural rock bridge.
We spent alot of time at the beach collecting shells and searching for shark teeth.
We checked out the sharks and fish at the aquarium and watched an underwater mermaid show.
L absolutely loved the lazy river at our hotel.

First day of school

L started school but it is full days every day unlike when her sisters started school. She seems happy and excited to go. I on the other hand am kind of sad. A full day is a long day and I am going to miss spending as much time with her.
